Martin started training at the tender age of 14 years old in the kids MMA program and also started training with the adult classes in Muay Thai Kickboxing Vancouver quite early. Martin has competed in numerous kickboxing tournaments, had a number of ring fights in Kickboxing and Muay Thai Kickboxing, fought in a number of submission wrestling competitions and was scheduled to fight in his first MMA fight but hurt his ankle in a bit of a freak accident. Martin acheived his black belt after 14 years of training at the school at the age of 28.

Martin got accepted to Medical school and is studying medicine in Krakow Poland with his Brother, Jonas. Jonas is the BC Heavy Weight Muay Thai Kickboxing Champion and is also studying medicine. On the same testing day that Martin tested for his black belt along with Victor Wang, Jonas progressed to the brown belt level. Having a brother as a training partner, confidant and spirited supporter has helped both of their progress. I am confident they will continue to achieve their goals in Muay Thai Kickboxing and Medicine; they are quite impressive young men that I have been honoured to teach and help. OSU!
This is an exerpt from Martin’s picture he posted on Facebook: Honoured to have received my MTKB black belt from one of the world’s best professional muay thai fighters of his day, Simon Posener. Thank you for all the lessons you have taught me. Osu!
Myself and my instructors stress that we are a mixed martial arts style emphasizing traditional philosopy. The philosopy of the art is critical and helps develop the person more fully in life skills and fighting skills.
